What is great about the game is how it differs from other FPS games. There is a heavy vehicle combat component to both single and multiplayer modes.
The banging and crashing sounds of weapons and vehicles is very fulfilling on a user experience level. Over 40 multiplayer maps plus mission editor enabling you to create custom levels. The music is very serious sounding and the sound effects are a lot of fun. Snipe them out, move in closer, snipe them a little more, move in close, get near to building and blast until everything that was moving…isn’t! Even though your targets are far away and many times all you see are stick figures falling down, it is still oddly rewarding. The missions where you get to play with an automatic rifle and a sniper scope are fun.
They were in there waiting for you to leave or enter the building they were not hanging out of the windows like many first-person shooting games, nor were they charging at you without a care for their own survival. There are plenty of times where you may throw a grenade through an open window of a house you are sure is empty, only to go in and see three bodies on the ground from the blast. It adds a feeling of tension, and the fact that people do not jump out and start shooting right away will only add to that atmosphere. You can be inside a village and not be sure if there are people in the house over to your left because it is too far away. Many times you play games of this ilk and you feel like a magpie in an ants nest, yet for some reason this game makes you feel as if you are in a large and almost empty setting. One of the more unique elements of the game is that you feel small. There are three campaigns that take place in Peru, Novoya Zemlya and Chad.
